HUNTING LEASES & FISHING ON MADDOX BAY

The Sportsman cabin is situated on the waterfront with direct access to Maddox Bay. Duck Club Members or those participating in a hunting lease have the privilege of using our brand new dock, equipped with 2 slips, storage closet, tie-ups and a swimming platform and only those members will have access to a private boat ramp to enter Maddox Bay.

Maddox Bay is a gateway to the 160,000 + acre White River Refuge. This area of the refuge is well known for its unending small game hunting opportunities such as raccoon and squirrel, as well as its flooded timber duck and large whitetail deer hunting.

Considered a “Wetland of International Importance” by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the Lower White River Basin contains more than 280,000 acres of bottomlands, forests, swamps, and small lakes. The White River National Wildlife Refuge preserves about 160,000 acres of swamp in Desha, Monroe, Phillips, and Arkansas counties.
